An independent and sustainable supplier

Norske Skog Golbey is part of the Norwegian Norske Skog group. We are an independent supplier. Our production capacity will be 550,000 tonnes of containerboard per year. This will make us one of the largest independent suppliers in western Europe.

Our ambition is to become a recognised supplier of containerboard. We draw on the strengths of our trained and experienced teams, our state-of-the-art equipment and our CSR approach.

Commercial proximity

Our mill is located in the heart of Europe, in eastern France. We have a sales network that gives us a local presence in all our markets.

We also have quality technicians to help our customers. They follow the trials and monitor the paper quality.

An experienced logistics department

On-time delivery is a priority for Norske Skog Golbey. Our logistics teams are experienced in delivering reels throughout Europe to demanding customers. They make full use of road and/or rail solutions. The solutions we offer our customers combine efficient delivery with respect for the environment.

To guarantee our road transport despite the pressure in the European market, we have developed a partnership with Norfibre Logistics. This enables us to work with two local hauliers, Coquelle and Mauffrey, and gives us easy access to the lorries we need. It also means we can work on developing innovative logistics solutions that are more respectful of the environment.

Our production site has a rail siding. This means we can deliver our reels by train, significantly reducing the carbon footprint of our deliveries. We also use rail for our supplies of raw materials.

Lightweight paper and guaranteed traceability

We are fully aware of market trends and our customers’ needs. We have therefore decided to focus our production on lower grammages and to produce paper ranging from 70 to 135 gsm. Lightweight paper that does not compromise on strength, thanks to the use of cutting-edge production technologies.

The quality and traceability of our products are key priorities. Quality controls are carried out throughout the manufacturing process. Sensors continuously monitor production from pulp to final product. Samples are also taken and analysed by our in-house laboratory.

Our paper is labelled with a unique barcode. This gives easy access to information about the reel (width, grammage etc.) and its production conditions.

Certification for our paper and our factory

Our containerboard will be made from 100% recycled fibres. The origin of the fibres is guaranteed and certified. Our products will be suitable for use in contact with food.

Our paper mill has ISO 50001 (energy management), ISO 14001 (environmental management) and ISO 9001 (quality management) certifications.
