Strengthening well-being initiatives in the workplace

Sports coaching

Supervised sessions with a sports coach are offered to our employees four times a week, at lunchtime or in the late afternoon. Currently, around forty employees take part in these training sessions, depending on their working hours and availability.

These activities play an important role in promoting social interaction and physical and mental health. They strengthen ties and allow us to share activities with colleagues we don’t see on a daily basis. This helps to break down barriers within our company.

Working environment

Our company took shape in two stages (1990-1992 and 1997-1999) as our two paper machines were built. The most recent buildings date from the 2000s.

Since 2020, we have been gradually modernising our workspaces, area by area. We began by creating an open-plan office for the team working on our diversification project, and are now gradually upgrading our offices, meeting rooms and “relaxation areas”.

At the same time, we are also refurbishing the control rooms. Several employees are involved in redesigning their work and relaxation areas (creation of kitchens, painting the walls, etc.).

Our mill covers an area of 70 hectares, which means that we can’t carry out all the work at once – we are spreading it over several years with the aim of providing our employees with an attractive, user-friendly working environment adapted to their needs.

A high-quality lunch break

Eating well is essential, because apparently our intestines are our second brain.

That’s why we’re working to offer a high-quality lunch break through our company restaurant. Our catering provider offers hot and cold meals, vegetables (or chips for those who prefer 😊) – healthy meals to suit everyone’s diet.

Last summer, we set up an area outside our office building so that our employees can eat outdoors and enjoy the sunshine during their lunch break. This space provides a relaxing area where you can feel as comfortable as on the terrace of a café!

Supporting internal team-building initiatives

We encourage internal cohesion and support our employees’ initiatives to create bonds. We currently provide financial support to three in-house sports associations:

  • the motorcycle club, which organises motorsports activities (motorbike outings, go-karting, etc.) and snowshoe hikes in winter,
  • a golf club offering golf lessons and training,
  • a hiking association, which sets itself a challenging target every two years (Piton de la Fournaise, Mont Blanc…).
